We endeavour to dispatch all orders as soon as possible and usually within 1 business day of purchasing. Where possible we keep items in stock but some orders are sent directly from our suppliers internationally.
Please note the shipping status of each item and the shipping location to determine the speed of arrival and whether you will be liable for any customs fees or import taxes.
We aim to offer a number of shipping options to suit your time and budget preferences so please carefully select your preferred option.
Please read our Return policy carefully before making a purchase from Melbourne Global Systems (MGS).
All products sold are "fit for purpose", however, MGS does not warrant or guarantee that any product sold is compatible with any equipment, hardware or software already installed or in use by the customer. This does not necessarily mean that it is fit for the purpose you want it for, it means it will do the job it was designed for.
The Australian Consumer Law protects consumers by giving them certain guaranteed rights when they buy goods and services. For example, the Law requires that goods must be free of defects, and do what they are meant to do. Services must be carried out with care and skill. These rights, which the Law says automatically apply whenever goods or services are supplied to a consumer, are called ‘Consumer Guarantees’.
Under the Law, these Consumer Guarantees cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of “acceptable quality” and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Consumer Guarantees have no set time limit but generally last for an amount of time that is reasonable to expect given factors including the cost and quality of the product or any representations made.
Many manufacturers have dedicated support centres designed specifically to deal with issues in relation to their products and may even provide in home support and advanced trouble shooting. In many circumstances the manufacturer may therefore be able to provide a quicker assessment of, and remedy for, any issue with your product, even if the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. You may therefore prefer to contact the manufacturer rather than us, although you are not obliged to do this and, if at any time you are not satisfied with the manufacturer’s remedy in relation to your legal rights, you can contact us for assistance.
Apart from your Consumer Guarantees, Melbourne Global Systems will only accept returns in certain situations:
• For purchases under $1,000 we will accept a return for change of mind within 2 business days of receiving your product or placed your order. You must contact us to receive your Return Authority (RA) within this time period. You will receive a full refund less initial shipping and a 40% Restocking fee* （see below for calculation). Return shipping fees must be paid by the customer. The item must be in original condition (undamaged/unmarked) • Commercial or wholesale orders cannot be returned for change of mind • In all other situations you must contact us for confirmation of whether we can accept a return on your order. If we can accept a return it will usually be limited to an exchange or store credit.
• If you make a change to an order or your delivery details change which cause a delivery delay or you cancel an order less than 2 days prior to a scheduled delivery, you will pay to us a fee equal to 35% of the list price of any product affected. If you cancel an order for any product not included in our current price list, you may be subject to an additional charge. If you cancel an order or refuse to accept all or any of our product in an order other than in circumstances permitted by these terms and conditions, you will be liable for any resulting damage or loss suffered by us. If the product has been or is in the process of being manufactured or produced specifically for you, you will pay to us as liquidated damages the full price of the products and any costs incurred by us (including, without limitation, any tax, including GST) less the current scrap value of the product as determined by us.
• A restocking fee of 40% of RRP (Ex GST) will be applied to all CISCO products including hardware, software and licences.
Eg. A unit C9300-48U-E Purchase Price $12,002.31 (Inc GST), RRP: $23,841.83 (Ex GST)
$23,841.83 x 40% = $9,536.73 is the restocking fee.
