Shipping

Our company strives to promptly dispatch all orders, typically within one business day of purchase. While we aim to keep items in stock, some orders may be fulfilled directly from our international suppliers.

It is important to take into consideration the shipping status of each item, its shipping location, as well as potential customs fees or import taxes, to accurately estimate the delivery time and costs associated with your order.

We offer various shipping options to accommodate your time and budget preferences, so kindly select your preferred method with care.

Returns Policy

Please carefully review our return policy prior to making any purchases from Melbourne Global Systems (MGS). 

We accept returns within 7 days of purchase.

Although all products sold are considered "fit for purpose", MGS does not warrant or guarantee that any product is compatible with existing customer equipment, hardware, or software. This warranty does not imply that the product is appropriate for your desired use, but rather that it is suitable for the function it was designed for.

The Australian Consumer Law provides certain guaranteed rights to consumers when they purchase goods and services. The Law requires that goods be free of defects and fulfill their intended purpose, and that services be performed with due care and skill. These automatic "Consumer Guarantees" cannot be excluded under the Law, and you are entitled to a refund or replacement for a major failure, as well as compensation for foreseeable loss or damage. If the goods fail to meet an acceptable quality standard, you are also entitled to have them repaired or replaced. Consumer Guarantees do not have a set time limit but are typically in effect for a reasonable amount of time based on factors such as product cost and quality, and any representations made.

Many manufacturers offer dedicated support centres that can deal with issues related to their products, including in-home support and advanced troubleshooting. In many cases, the manufacturer can provide a faster assessment and remedy for any product issues, even if the manufacturer's warranty has expired. As such, you may prefer to contact the manufacturer directly rather than MGS, although this is not required. If you are not satisfied with the manufacturer's remedy in relation to your legal rights, you can seek assistance from MGS.

In addition to Consumer Guarantees, MGS will only accept returns under certain circumstances: 

  • For purchases under $1,000, MGS will accept returns for change of mind within two business days of receiving the product or placing the order. 
  • You must contact MGS to receive a Return Authority (RA) within this time period.
  • You will receive a full refund, less initial shipping, and a 40% restocking fee (see below for calculation) and return shipping fees must be paid by the customer. 
  • The item must be in original condition (undamaged, unmarked, and unopened with the seal intact). 
  • Commercial or wholesale orders cannot be returned for change of mind.
  • For all other situations, you must contact MGS for confirmation of whether a return can be accepted.
  • If a return is accepted, it will typically be limited to an exchange or store credit.
  • If you make changes to an order or delivery details that cause a delivery delay, or if you cancel an order less than two days prior to a scheduled delivery, you will be required to pay a fee equal to 35% of the list price of any affected products. 
  • If you cancel an order for a product not included in our current price list, you may be subject to an additional charge. If you cancel an order or refuse to accept any product in an order, you will be liable for any resulting damage or loss suffered by MGS. 
  • If a product has been or is in the process of being manufactured or produced specifically for you, you will be required to pay MGS the full price of the product and any costs incurred by MGS (including, but not limited to, taxes such as GST), less the current scrap value of the product as determined by MGS.

Restocking Fee for CISCO Products:

A restocking fee of 40% of the recommended retail price (Ex GST) will be applied to all CISCO products, including hardware, software, and licenses.

Example:

For instance, if a unit C9300-48U-E is purchased for $12,002.31 (Inc GST) and its recommended retail price is $23,841.83 (Ex GST), the restocking fee would be calculated as follows:

$23,841.83 x 40% = $9,536.73

Therefore, the restocking fee for this product would be $9,536.73.
